Western Digital Raid Edition firmware update

As noted in the following screenshot, there is an issue with the WD RAID edition drives where they may be dropped from an array. The link to download the firmware is http://support.wdc.com/download/index.asp?cxml=n&pid=15&swid=57

The following link is to the WD Data Lifeguard Tools for DOS bootable cd http://support.wdc.com/download/index.asp?cxml=n&pid=15&swid=53 this will allow you to check what firmware your drives have. If it is earlier than the one mentioned in the screenshot then it is recommended to run the firmware update.
